Northwest Missouri State ran away from William Woods in the second half on the way to a 71-47 win.

The Bearcats (5-0) used an 18-0 run stretching from the end of the third quarter into the early minutes of the fourth to put the game out of reach.

Northwest has won its first five games of a season for the first time in seven years.

Molly Hartnett and Caely Kesten put up 15 points apiece in the win. Jayna Green chipped in with six points and a career-high seven steals. Overall, each of the 11 Bearcats that stepped on the floor against the Owls scored. It marks the second straight game that every active Northwest player scored.

MIAA games begin Thursday as Northwest hosts Missouri Southern. Game time is set for 5:30pm. Pregame on KXCV 90.5 and KRNW 88.9 begins at 5pm.
