MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Maryville R-2 School Board has announced that Maryville High School senior Anmol Prabhakar will represent the district at the regional level for the Missouri School Boards Association’s Student Scholarship.
Anmol is a standout student and athlete. He has been a four-year member and captain of the Maryville High School soccer team, earning multiple honors.
He also serves as vice president of the National Honor Society and is a member of the MHS ACT 30 Club.
Anmol was selected to attend the University of Missouri Mini Medical School this past summer and works part-time at Maryville Walmart.
Anmol, who plans to major in biology and pursue pre-med studies, receives a $250 scholarship from the Maryville R-II School Board.
His application now advances to the regional level, where a $1,000 scholarship is awarded in each of MSBA’s 17 regions.
A statewide winner will be chosen from the regional recipients to receive an additional $1,500 scholarship.
